Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild Wedding | Paris, France Wedding Photographer
The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a French villa and gardens in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. It has been home to the Ephrussi family since 1885 and is now owned by a British lord, James Stourton.
It was built for Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild (1854–1934) between 1884 and 1887, in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo, but with Louis XV features. It is set in 2 hectares of gardens designed by landscape architect Achille Duchêne, which were laid out from 1886 to 1912.The villa has been used for many different purposes throughout its lifetime, but it is most famous for hosting weddings.
The villa is located on the French Riviera and features a large garden with palm trees and brightly colored flowers. This garden is beyond perfect for wedding photos at every turn. The inside of the villa also features beautiful rooms that make great settings for a wedding ceremony or reception.
Last July I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Villa Ephrussi, and I was so amazed at beautiful this venue is in person. It’s truly so grand and unique, and it was the perfect venue for this dreamy pastel wedding day, designed to perfection by Amanda of AMV weddings. This is seriously one for the books, and I hope you can find some wedding inspiration for your very own French Riviera wedding.
